Tiny Tots Reminders

We would like to welcome all of our friends to our Head Over Heels Gymnastics Tiny Tots Program! Our goal is to introduce basic gymnastics skills and exploration through the use of specialized preschool gymnastics equipment. This program is designed to build strength, coordination, and self confidence while encouraging interaction between parent and child. Parent participation is required at all times! (If a parent is unable to attend, nannies, aunts, uncles, friends are more than welcome to come and participate adhering to the 1/1 ratio.) Siblings that come to class may NOT participate during class. If attending, they need to sit on the side. (Coloring books, reading books, or a quiet activity is suggested to help any siblings sit out during the class.)

*There will be other classes going on in the gym at the same time as our tiny tots classes. Please keep your child away from other groups and classes!*

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1. Parent participation is required at all times!
You are your child's partner and must stay with them at all times during class. Please try to help your child stay in the group and participate with the instructor. This will help make your child's transition to our Gymkids program much easier.

2. Equipment to be aware of in the gym:

Trampoline-

  • 1 person at a time on trampoline only. This is for the safety of your child.
  • Please do not step on the blue edges of the trampoline.

Pit-

  • Bottom entry only. (Never face or belly first.)
  • No heads under foam blocks. (Children need to be seen at all times in the pit.)
  • Always look before you enter to make sure no one is in the way.
  • For the safety of your child, please lift children out of the pit from under their armpits.

Resi-mats-

  • We have two of these mats located in the gym. They are large, blue, rectangular inground mats located by each pit. When stepping on these mats, please go slow as they do sink down a significant amount. Please, no running on these mats and please use caution.

All equipment must be supervised by an adult at all times. One person at a time on the equipment, please!

Bare feet are preferred, but not mandatory in the tiny tots class. Adults must take their shoes off. Thank you for your cooperation in making your child's class here at Head Over Heels a fun and safe experience. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 781-659-3378.
